Spicy Tuesday : Buffalo Pretzels.

Hello All! Hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday. After making a mini living room on our front porch, a snack was in order for all of the hard work. I wanted something that was easy and fast, and of course cheap. It was cheap.  Hot sauce is ALWAYS in our cupboard or fridge, butter is a must per Miss Paula Deen. I didn’t have celery salt, but my mother did thankfully. I don’t think the meal really needs it though, its salty enough.

 

Don’t go out of your way and buy all sorts of pretzels. I used the lil sticks & mini ones. Thankfully I had someone to tell me I bought way too many pretzels. For some reason I did liquid math. 8oz = 1 cup. So i figured 16oz= 2 cups. Needless to say a few jokes were made that evening about my smarts or lack of. The only pain in the butt, was using two big baking sheets, and having to take them out every 15 minutes. The flavor was good, but personally I would use more hot sauce and butter, to make the flavor pop.  That aside, they are great to snack on all week, great for parties, and great for lunches. 🙂

 

Buffalo Pretzels:

12 cups Assorted Pretzles

5 ounces, weight Butter, Melted (1 stick + 1 tbs.)

1 package (about 1 Oz. Packet) Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix

½ teaspoons Celery Salt

2 Tablespoons Buffalo Wing Sauce

Preheat oven to 250ºF and cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour pretzels in a large bowl and set aside. In a small bowl, melt the butter. Add ranch mix, celery salt and wing sauce. Stir. Pour over pretzels and stir to coat.  Once everything is coated with the melted sauce mixture, pour over the prepared baking sheet and spread out. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool.
